#SaveDaraLuz on Giving Tuesday! 11/28/2023

November 27, 2023

Dear Community,

Last week Baby #1500, #1501 and #1502 (all on the same day!) were born at Dar a Luz! Since opening in 2011, we have taken care of nearly 2,500 families with our midwives and nurses having attended over 1,500 births. We are grateful for every parent who has chosen Dar a Luz for their prenatal, birth, postpartum and newborn care.

Tomorrow November 28th is #GivingTuesday, the International Day of Philanthropy. We want to invite you to contribute to the #SaveDaraLuz campaign.

We kicked off Giving Tuesday last week with a spread in the inaugural Giving Guide that was featured in the Albuquerque Journal.

As you know from our last update, on November 9th the Anderson Charitable Foundation chose Dar a Luz as the recipient of a $15K challenge grant. This means that we have to raise $15,000 from our community, foundation(s), and/or corporation(s) that will match this grant in order to receive it.

Our goal for Giving Tuesday is to match this challenge grant by raising $15K in community contributions in one day!

Below you’ll find a Dar a Luz Unselfie. Post a photo and you will be entered to win a $50 gift card! Download and print the Unselfie, take a photo with it, then post the photo by tagging @daraluzbirthcenterabq.

Remember there are many ways that you can contribute listed below:

Help us reach our goal on Tuesday, November 28th of raising $15K and moving closer to our end-of-year goal of raising $300K. Your contribution will allow us to continue supporting families and one day make it all of the way to Baby #2,000!

With gratitude, Dar a Luz Board and Staff
